Looking to see where one gets the needed firmware and bootblock files mentioned in this PDF to do an update based on the old firmware and bootblock versions one may have.
http://download.efilive.com/Software/V8/Upgrading FlashScan.pdf

I have not installed a copy of V8.1.2.80 on a clean machine but does it contain the following files.
firmware V2.04.72.
boot block to V2.05.08.
firmware V2.05.21
firmware V2.05.14

I have the last too firmware versions I list but do not know if they are let overs over time or what.
I do not have the boot block version mentioned so was wondering where one get that if they had and old enough flashscan that has never been updated to that point.

I just updated a post I wrote a long time ago for setting up the flashscan V2 on Dieselplace forums. So I had the weekend off and enough time to update it to the newest public beta release how to. I get lots of PM of users asking how I did this or do that and figure this be the best way to get it all out there in one doc to help others. Someone ask me how to deal with one of the old firmware versions to update and I was lost since I did not have some of the versions mentioned in the PDF file.

Thanks for your time and help.

Hi Brian,

Get the bootblock and firmware from here: showthread.php?t=12587 (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=12587)

The current builds are V7.5.6.101 and V8.1.2.81.

That page previously had 100 and 80... but those had problems, so that page was updated with 101 and 81.

Here's a link to that pdf document: http://download.efilive.com/Software/V8/Upgrading%20EFILive.pdf (http://download.efilive.com/Software/V8/Upgrading%20EFILive.pdf)

Hint:
when viewing the page linked to in post #2, go rightclick->Copy Link Location to get the link to the pdf...
when you paste this it comes out like above (%20 replaces space).

Also: if anyone's V2 has old bootblock/firmware: please refer them to the attached document.

Thank you so much for the help. That should help very well. Ok I see one can leave the %20 to represent a space in the link thats good. The space was throwing my link of that one I had posted in my other post.
