I have a late 2007 model silverado 1500 with 5.3L. I have some mild tuning done on it but i cannot torque up on it and take off. The truck falls on its face as soon as I let off the gas as if i never torqued up on it. I was told by a tuner that I can change something in the ecm and then I could launch it. Does anybody know what needs to be changed??? I have every torque reduction thing off but I still cant launch it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Have you touched anything else besides the Torque control tables? Have you removed Torque management from the transmission?
I really don't see the MILD Tuning... Can you be more specific on what was done?
Is your truck EXT CAB, Crew Cab, Reg cab? Any mods done to it?

Post up your Trans tune also....

I just realized I posted the wrong one. That tune was the first tune i had in it. The truck is a ext cab and I have a k&n air filter and a gibson stainless cat back exhaust. The rest is stock. These are the tunes that I am currently running.

Do you run Premium fuel? Your high octane spark table {B5101}needs lots of work, PE table {B3618} is way too RICH at WOT...
Do you have a wideband O2 sensor?

You are not making any power when you're powerbreaking with a stockish High Octane Spark table and overly rich Air Fuel Mixture... Plus I think you need a Aftermarket Torque converter with a higher stall to get any cool powerbreaking going...:D

gotcha... do you see anything in the tuning though that prohibit and powerbreaking?? as of right now i dont wanna change converters...i just wanna be able to pull up beside some friends and launch it in a race

several people have told me that there is something built in that causes defueling when powerbreaking but i havent been able to find it. I can spin tires if i dont powerbreak it :)

It is what it is, these truck's just suck at powerbreaking!...:D
You can really wake your truck up with a good tune, by modifying Spark, Fuel, MAF e.t.c.

I have a Wideband O2 sensor on my truck and I've never seen any defueling happening when I tried powerbreaking! It's usually Spark that is getting retarded or Torque Management or too rich of a AFR...

Log different Pids when you're power breaking, and try and find out what is limiting your power breaking...
