Okay, made the mistake of upgrading my v2 firmware to 2.06.17 from 2.06.12 because of this thread. http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=12484&highlight=firmware

still using bootblock 2.06.02 and when i try to connect to the v2 controller the scan tool is giving me an interface not compatible error.

Software Version: 7.5.5 Build 88. I have ran the update tool multiple times and no updates are available.

I can ignore the error and continue scanning, but i noticed my wideband is no longer registering on the ad ports.

Whethor by coincidence or not but now my v2 wont allways fully bootup when it's plugged into my computers.

I.e you just see a bluescreen. Basically same as what you get when the usb port is not providing enough power.

But if i unplug the usb cable a few times it works again.

Anyone else experiancing this?

If you ever see that again then using Windows device manager, check that FlashScan V2 has 500mA allocated to it. See attached image.
You need to right click on each USB hub and select properties->Power until you find the one to which FlashScan is connected.

I have seen the same thing. That may explain it for me. I added a 4 port hub to the laptop to use common plugged in items. I never change or added or deleted the normal devices other than a non powered hub. If I unplugged the hub it powered up fine. But sometimes with all plugged in it worked fine. So I will check that the next time it happens.
