First off I'm not trying to stir up old dung.........I didn't title this one lean cruse
as per not upset anybody. But here goes
GM went through the trouble of checking the platform because of the EPA (bastard EPA)

The ONLY way around this is to modify that platform check routine, or change the platofrm type to Holden in the calibrations (we don't allow you to do that)

so why do we have G1206 ??

Just wondering

Ah yes, but if you change the platform type to Holden and you have a Corvette (as an example) bad things will happen, well, things won't work on the Vette like they should.
There is other handy functions in the platform matrix that engine conversion users were asking for which is why we put it in.

Cheers,
Ross

So if you used an LS1 in a 1955 chevy you would be cool right ?

Probably, you could change the options matrix to whatever you want (within reason) as there wouldnt be any other (LS1) factory equipment to be impacted. Thats my guess though, give it a shot and report back.
