Was wondering if you could help me out?

I need some screen shots of EFI live that show all of the Brake Torque Management Tables.

I am looking for screen shots of all the tables for Brake Torque Management in the TrailBlazer SS only.

Thanks in advance!

Joe

I have the software download. I have searched the entire site and can not find even a stock transmission file for a 2007 TrailBlazer SS. Thanks!

Does anyone have a stock 07 newer transmission file? Thanks in advance for the help.

Joe, shoot me an email (ScarbEpic22 AT comcast.net) and Ill get you what you want. Have 06, 07, and 08 T42 files for the TBSS.

I think www.HoldenCrazy.com has an 07 T42 file under Stock Tunes...

Thanks for the help! The Brake Torque Management tables I am looking for are in the '06 but not available yet in the '07 and newer.

All you need to do is change B2523 (in the ECM) to Yes, then when you switch off the traction control the BTM system is also disabled.

Ross I'm looking at my 2008 TBSS file and don't see that location. Is it a typo or not in my file?

What are the dates shown on your calz files? Mine are v7.33, 16th December, 2009
Should be the last parameter in the Engine > Torque Control parameters area.

Good to know, Im going to play with this in the coming weeks as I finally get to mess with my SS.

I am also using the .calz files dated Dec 16, 2009 and 7.5.6 build 104.

I have a 06 TB SS and there is no B2523 in the ECM. I see a B0701 BTM disable with the following description:

This calibration controls the brake torque management action if the driver has turned the traction control system off.

Only the following values may be entered into this table:
- Still Functional
- Disabled

Thanks for all your help!!

I found the version V7.5.6.104 RC3 and can now see the tab {B2523}.

06 is a P12 PCM, the 2007 up switched to the E67.

The 2006 has a bunch of Brake Torque Management tables in the TCM tune.

Yes it does and what a difference it makes when you reduce the values.

You know Brake Torque Management is really only used to stop foot on brake burnouts (well, that scenario), the cal in the later cars to turn it off with TCS off makes sense as you would normally turn TCS off in those situations.

Mine is AWD, but sometimes I can spin the tires (front first) in the rain without Stabilitrak kicking in if I hit the throttle just right. BTW - I was referring to the Torque Reduction tables in the TCM in tha above post.

Cough 06s are E40s cough. :angel_innocent::fluffy:

Im going to kill the BTM table and Ill take a bunch of logs to see if spark is actually being pulled. Kinda hard for me to really test because I dont have a built trans to pull all the TM out. :(

I have a 2007 TrailBlazer SS with E67. Mine pulls as much as 30 degrees of timing when brake torque management kicks in.

Wow, 30 degrees? Holy crap!

There must be actual tables in the ECM that have this info...

These transmissions can survive without or very little TM on a stock or near stock truck. The key is how you drive it. Beat the crap out of it on a daily basis and without a doubt it will take it's toll. Add big hp and all bets are off. I run very little TM on mine and so far have zero problems. I tuned it 3 years and 57K miles ago. This is my DD and it has been great.

Good to know, are you 2WD or AWD? Im AWD which puts greater stress on the trans. Im bone stock down to the filter except for a baby tune, some minor spark and trans adjustments is all for now. Going to really dig into it here in the next few weeks/months.

I'm AWD with a homemade CAI and that's it. I would definitely start with mild adjustments then work you way from there depending on your comfort level.

Im feeling pretty comfortable with EFILive, its the newness of the E67 that Im going to struggle a little with. Going to start with AutoVE'ing it, then play with spark stuff. WOT Ill have to get some dyno time, its a lot quicker than my 02 so getting WOT logs will be a little more challenging in 3rd gear...

The new BTM tab for the 2007 and newer E67 TrailBlazer SS's works like a charm in turning off all the Brake Torque Management!!

I also tested the BTM tables on a 2006 E40 TrailBlazer SS and was able to turn off all the Brake Torque Management.

Thanks to everyone for the help and great support from EFI Live!!

Glad to hear it works Joe! Now I just wish my 08 could push enough power to have the BTM kick in like you were experiencing to put these tables to use...

Should B2523 be in E40 OS's too?

No, see post #14: E40 BTM (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?12836-Brake-Torque-Management-Screen-Shots-Needed&p=113265&viewfull=1#post113265)

Different tables for different ECMs, just how it goes.

I was wondering on my 2006 TBSS when parameter B0701 is valued at disabled which it was from stock, does that mean when traction control is off all torque management is off as well? Are there other parameters that allow the torque limits to come into play as well? Like B0505? Also wondering probably not safe but i guess if you disable torque reduction by spark fuel and throttle it would never limit anything? Also wondering if you can apply more torque to the rear axle vs the front like in the limits everything is set to 50 for front and rear torque, Just figured that perhaps a awd tbss might be able to slip a bit when lauching here are my limit settings stock. 11853
