After countless tries of attempting to read the tcm and ecm stock tune on my 06 LBZ, I kept getting the same result saying that efi cannot recgonize the tcm or the ecm and ultimately says calibration missing. Do I need a new ecm and tcm or is something wrong with the efi v2 flash scan controller? Thanks in advance.

Smitty, you are getting some odd data there, but I can also see the firmware is very old on your V2, I guess the software might be as well?

Have you had this thing stored away for 2 years or something?

Cheers,
Ross

Im with Ross, I havent seen a firmware or bootblock that old in at least a year.

Download the latest V7.5.6 build 104 AND 8.1.2 build 84.

See this link: EFILive Latest Update (http://forum.efilive.com/showpost.php?p=113194&postcount=1)

Install both downloads, then update your bootblock FIRST then do the firmware upgrade otherwise you will brick you V2.

Then try the reflash again, most likely it will work as I havent seen any LBZ reflash issues in a while.

Good point, 2.4.38 is quite old...

Before updating the V2 bootblock/firmware please read the attached document carefully, make sure you understand all of it before proceeding.

Oh this all makes sense now then. No I have not stored any old files for 2 years. I just bought this new and unopened EFI live v2 flash scan from a guy in Carolina who bought it a couple years ago but never even opened it. I will try this update and hopefully it will work! thanks alot and I will report back.

Yep, not surprised it has an ancient bootblock/firmware then! A TON has changed in the last 6mo, the last 2 years Im not sure anything is the same by now lol.

Report back if it works, if not Im sure we can get you up and running asap!

Glad you got it working!

Now that you're up to date, all the minor updates are painless. Just download and install the software and open up EFILive Explorer, it will automatically prompt you to upgrade your firmware!

No unfortunately it is not working on vmware fusion. I am having trouble with it recognizing the device in the usb port for some reason I think there is something wrong with my laptop. I had to use an old pc to perform this task. Thanks again everyone i'm so glad to have this up and running.
