hey,


i'm new at this so after some reading i connect my leptop to the car's aldl.
when i 'm trying to to start reading data, with any xml, it gives me this error:

can anyone walk me step by step?

It looks like your interface cable does not echo the Max232 commands back to the PC. In that case go into the properties and uncheck the "Max232 Echo" check box.

FWIW some Daewoo's have trouble comunicating with scan tools. We have the actual Scan-100 DAEWOO scan tool at the shop I work for. Some cars will not conect to that and we have to try and hook up a small hand held scan tool to see if we can read codes and live data. You might also try another scan tool and see if it will conect to that. Also check the fuses... I cant remeber wich fuse it is but sometimes That will also cause an issue. So far I have seen 2 Daewoo's that would not conect with any scan tool. It could also be a loose pin at the ECU. Unfortunitly most customers won't spend any money to Diagnose the problem.
