About five years ago, I decided to move to move to an operating system that did not have a Backup VE Table. So I downloadedOS 12208322 from http://www.holdencrazy.com/EFILive/stockTunes.php from a ¾ ton 4X4 pickup with an LQ4/4L80E as I felt that this was the best match that I could find for a starter..Then, I did full re-flash of the stock operating system (OS 09381344) in my 2000 truck (3/4 ton Yukon XL with four wheel drive).
I then went on to switch to COS 3 about three years ago and now I am back with the 2001 OS as I think that since I operate (MAF enabled) in temperatures varying between 10° F in the winter to 110° F in the winter and I have driven the truck at sea level to 10,000’ MSL in the past six months I’d just be better off to go back to standard closed-loop operation. Going to Colorado last fall is what really changed my mind.
Here’s my quandary. I'm reworking my tune now, but I'd just as soon have the latest and greatest version for a 512 k PCM. I’m not sure that my OS (12208322) is really the best suited to my vehicle or what the differences are between various similar operating systems. I searched on http://www.autotrader.com (http://www.autotrader.com/) and found a 2002 truck (3/4 ton Suburban 4X4 LQ4/4L80E virtually identical to mine except two years newer) with a VIN of 3GNGK26G92G139705. So I looked that VIN up on http://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2web (http://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2web) and found the following information on this vehicle:
Operating System P/N: 12216125 CVN: N/A
Engine Calibration P/N: 9357712 CVN: 0000803A
Engine Diagnostic Calibration P/N: 9358096 CVN: 0000C51B
Transmission Calibration P/N: 9358203 CVN: 00003642
Transmission Diagnostic Calibration P/N: 16264419 CVN: 0000EFB6
Fuel System Calibration P/N: 16264679 CVN: 0000F9B4
System Calibration P/N: 9373498 CVN: 00005ABB
Speedometer Calibration P/N: 9359140 CVN: 0000AE29
How could I get this information translated from GM/Tech 2 to an EFILive xxx.tun format? I’ve been looking for used vehicles that I could “borrow/read” the .tun file from for a couple of years, but to no avail. Please give me your thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Steve
