I'm getting conflicting info on grounding for the LC-1. The EFILive tutorial says the heater ground (blue wire) should be connected to a chassis’ ground separate from the signal ground location (white wire). The LC-1 manual says all grounds should be tied together, in fact soldered together. Which one is correct? Thanks.

First try it with the white wire simply connected to the FlashScan AD- input...

i.e. don't ground it...

see what the signal looks like (connect the brown or yellow signal wire (whichever one you're using) to AD+)...

run in closed loop and you should see stoich AFR.

[ the white wire is supposed to come internally "grounded" inside the LC-1. ]

Do you have FlashScan V1 or V2...?

The white wire is a -1v and will reek havoc with the AD input readings if connected to Flashscan.
I've got the blue wire grounded to the engine block and the white wire to chassis.

Innovate told me the white and green wires are internally connected... so I don't know... I have always observed my white and green wires are at about 0.1V wrt chassis.

I have FlashScan V1 and a 6-wire LC-1 that doesn't have a green wire (no analog ground).

You're right Joe it's -0.1v like the low signal of the NBO2's.
I never measured the green wire but I know that the white wire connected to
Flashscan is going to make all the ADs bounce the green wire alone does not.

He doesn't have a green wire... can he use the metal shield...?

For the analog ground?
I think the lining is just to keep the noise down in the LC-1. :nixweiss:
I'm thinking something like this:

That schematic should work.

So you're saying DON'T tie the Flashscan V1 analog ground (pin D) to the heater ground & LC-1 ground?

Yes.
