I m upgrading the PCM in my 97 Corvette. Whats the best PCM OS and or P/N to get? I m obviously going to repin out the wiring harness on the car.

Why not run one of the Corvette specific OSes for 2002 or 2003?

unless I'm mistaken, 12212156 is the OS used in 2002 vettes (excluding the Z06 I believe)

It is a 2002 Corvette specific OS for the Corvette.
OS-12212156...PCM P/N-12200411...

Here's a manual & auto trans file...:D

Thanks guys for all the help....Im trying to get my hands on the PCM next with that operating system... anybody know someone that has one for sale?

Some of the resellers on here can sell you a 0411 programmed with the stock file of your choice for probably under $100 shipped.

Damn...don't mind me. I'll be sitting here in the corner realizing that 12212156 is for more than just F-body cars. :D

I was surprised when I found out how many vehicle's utilize that OS...:D
Even 4.3ltr V6's have a 12212156 OS

Why not use the 12221588 OS - what was issued later? Any known disadvantages?

Hi Marco,

12212156 is easier to use since you can easily pull together the transmission segment (4L80E) and fuel system segment (Express Van) from other 12212156 files (tunetool segment copy from alternate file).

12212156 is versatile in allowing you to easily convert to 02020005/COS5.
