computer wont recognize v2???

got a new computer and new truck, Im needin to buy a liscence and tune my 07.5 lmm duramax but the software continues to stay in demo mode when v2 is connected. v2 isnt even showing up in My Computer? the v2 lights up but has no script on the screen... need help!!! cant stand being stock much longer!

Are you plugging in V2 before you connect to laptop/PC?
Also, did you register your V2?

If the software is in demo, it sounds like the license.txt got overwritten or moved.

i havent bought a new license for this truck yet, i have used my other 2 on a lly and lbz. i was just simply plugging in my v2 to retreive my serial number and info so i could purchase a new license for my lmm truck...

do i need to plug the v2 into my truck as well as my laptop for some reason for the laptop to read the v2?

I meant the license.txt in C:\My Documents\EFILive\V7.5\User Configuration
Are the drivers installed?

thanks for the help guys, you were definately on the right track mr. prick! it wasnt reading the drivers from the efi live folder, it was search the internet for them and obviously not workin... again thanks for your time
