After having zero trouble on 06/07/08's an 09 has stopped the show. :doh2:

Anyone managed to disable VATS on an 09 E38 12628990 Corvette OS?

I disabled VATS via the patch as usual and full flashed but the engine wont fire. Coils turn on and injectors pulse once with key in crank position and then thats it. Subsequent starts there is no injector pulse unless the ECM is powered right off.

Similar behavior if an 08 E38 that has NO VATS disable applied.

Plug an 08 back in or anything else less than 09 and starts right up.

Has VATS been proven on this OS for 09?

Thanks anyone :).

Hi Ian,

I've been away for the last couple of weeks, I'll squeeze this in to look at this week, I assume you still have the vehicle to test with?

Yes the car isnt going anywhere :). Its the devtest car. Rolled back to an 08. Double checking it again this morning.

I am starting to wonder whether some OS's need to see the 12V on the powertrain relay circuit and some dont.

Slight difference in the injector behavior with VATS enabled or disabled. Injector pulses once with VATS disabled, but not at all with VATS enabled.

That is interesting on the injector pulse thing. Did you happen to check DTC's, maybe there is a hint there as to what is wrong?

Cheers,
Ross

P.S - You just made post 555, kind of ironic given the ethanol thread.

LOL yes! Post 555. I gotta get a life. :) Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket today, or go back to bed and hide! Or maybe I just feel 555 in years this morning! :) I thought it might be the number of months since the 555 hit the streets. But more likely when the first IC was invented :). We've come a long way.

No DTC's of any significance come up. Having the PT relay in circuit makes no difference.

No DTC's hey, pretty much like when a patient walks in to a doctors and says "I have a problem", doctor says "what is wrong"?, patient says "guess".

Said that to a GMPP E67 Saturday. It didnt say anything. But in the end it sure was dead.
