Hoping someone can help me setup my LM-1 to log AFR. I have used the search and have found all kinds of info, but just having a hard time wrapping my head around it. I have the LM-1 hooked up to the V2 and it is logging the voltage in AD1 fine. I want to convert the voltage to an AFR reading and that is what I am having troubles with. Can anyone help walk me through this, or point me in the direction of a thread that does? I have read so much info I think I'm starting to confuse myself, any help would be appreciated.

To start with, search how to connect the LM1 to the V2 with a "serial" connection. You will need to do some cable work but it will be worth every bit of effort and minimal money. The accuracy and ease of use once established is really a good feature.

+1. With serial AFR you will not need to do any conversions.

To be able to read the serial AFR from your wideband (LM-1) in this case, you will need to update your V2 bootblock/firmware...
I suggest installing both V7.5 and V8.1 from here: showthread.php?t=13140 (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=13140)

If your V2 firmware is old (e.g. 2.4.xx or 2.5.xx) and/or you never performed the bootblock/license upgrade, then read the attached document very carefully before proceeding...

(you want to go from in sequence like this:
- from fw 2.4.72 to bb 2.5.8 and then to fw 2.5.21,
- from fw 2.5.21 to bb 2.6.3 and then to fw 2.6.28.

:)

Thanks guys, I'm going to look for a null connector locally and see if get things working properly. Thanks again for the responses.

It specifically has to be a null modem adapter... otherwise it won't cross Tx and Rx and won't work.
