I just recently purchased the V2 and a DSP5 for my 07 LBZ. I did a search and could not find anything on how to install the DSP5 switch. Is there a thread with a HELP for installing the DSP5 switch? Or does anyone have any pictures on where to hook up the wires?

Im still new to the EFI world and i am still learning day by day. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

The tutorial is pretty nice, the install isn't bad, one thing is to make sure you are looking at the plug the correct way. I was backwards my first attempt:doh2:

how long would you say it takes to install the switch? Wires, switch mount etc... Just roughly?

The actual install takes longer than hooking it up. I taped the two pins together to pull it thru the firewall. That way I did not knock one off. I have heard of alot of people knocking one off trying to get it thru the fire wall. The rest is pretty easy as well just finding where to mount the switch was the hardest part for me. Your truck is still old enough your interior panels just pop on.

Alright, i received my V2 and DSP5 today. Im gonna install everything tomorrow. My switch seems loose, like it turns all the way around and takes a long time to "click" How do i tighten up my dsp5 switch so it clicks and changes tunes right?

There is a set screw with a small allen head that needs to be tightened in the knob.

To feed through the firewall...use a bic pen and stab it through the grommet...then pull the guts out of the pen and you have a nice hollow tube to run the wires through, once you can grab the ends pull the pen back out and presto!

Are you done yet?

Does anyone know of a tutorial/install for the LMM DSP5 switch? I have build 88 will that tutorial be in the 101 build? is that what I need to do?

You should use the latest build, 107, not 101.
