A long time ago now we changed the installer behind the EFILive software, which includes a different update component. The installer we used prior to this did deliver on the promise of auto updating so we had to change to another product.

We recommend people install (at the time of this post) the latest RC from here: http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=13140

If you are running an older version you will need to uninstall the EFILive software (we recommend backing up the 'C:\Program Files\EFILive' and 'Documents\EFILive' folders prior to this) and then installing the new base.

Ok. So what sort of Duramax is your vehicle (LB7, LLY, LBZ or LMM)? In the calibration you have what is the OS # shown as?

If you are trying to read the ECM make sure you select the correct controller type.

Even though it says it is not supported or unknown it will generally still show the OS#?

OK. If you have installed 7.5.6 Build 107 then you should have the calibration for that OS on your system. It will not be in the 7.5.5 Build 88 if that is what you have installed?

thanks for your help, so your saying my os# is wrong for the update? how do i change that?

Not at all. What is happening is this:
- Your vehicle stock OS will be another number (like 12632484).
- The OS you are trying to open (52628594) is an EFILive Custom DSP5 OS which has to have a different OS #.
- The software version you have installed is older than the existence of the LMM DSP5 calibration you need to recognize that file from your email.

Hope that makes sense? You don;t need to change anything other than get the latest software installed, which knows about the DSP5 OS you have...
