I recently had a hardrive crash and lost all of my efi calc pids and everything else. In doing so I have gone back and found the equations and whatnot for what was missing. I reinstalled efi live and then went to the calc_pids.txt file and added what I needed. I am attaching a copy of the file that I resaved here below. I then went into the scanner and tried to start selecting the parameters that should have been enabled by the calc files and now I can't find several of them for example (gm.cylair.dma, gmdyncylair.dma etc.) What have I done wrong and is there anyone that can send me a copy of their .txt file to copy and retry. What did I do wrong. I am willing to pay somebody for their help just send me your paypal addy.

Did you validate all PIDs after re-installing the software?

Mr. Prick, whats your PAYPAL #... Just joking of course.

OP that has reminded me to always keep a back-up of all my files on another computer. Nothing like everything crashing on ya..

Hope you get everything straightened out.

Also do this (open it in Notepad):
- under Units, delete the non-text characters from the "flt" line (they look like rectangles).
- where CLC-00-013 is defined, remove non-text characters.
- at the end of the file, add two blank lines.

Exploder,

Also note that Shawn and I have new/better VE equations for CLC-00-003:

*CLC-00-003
% 0.0 100.0 .2 "{SAE.MAF.gps}*({GM.DYNAIRTMP_DMA.C}+273.15)*3445.2/(5.669*{SAE.RPM}*{SAE.MAP.kPa})*{CALC.LTFTBEN}"
VE 0.0 3.0 .4 "{SAE.MAF.gps}*({GM.DYNAIRTMP_DMA.C}+273.15)*15/({SAE.RPM}*{SAE.MAP.kPa})*{CALC.LTFTBEN}"

You will have to change the displacement from 5.669 to 6.800 (i.e. 415ci --> 6.8L) since your sig says 415ci.

:)

I always move the V7 folder to the desktop then delete the new one created by the installer.

This is what i have been having deficult with trying to install into the calc_pid files. Don't know what i am doing wrong??

You would just change the displacement to 6.800 where 5.669 now exists.

The file is then saved in "My Documents" "EFILIVE" V7.5 "User Configuration" calc_pids.txt.

What happens when you do that?

See Joecar's Note below. My Calc_Pids.txt file has a few extra calculated pids for E10 tuning..

This is what i have been having deficult with trying to install into the calc_pid files. Don't know what i am doing wrong??Hi ssg,

Use the calc_pids.txt file from post #200 of this thread: showthread.php?13152-New-Tuning-Tutorial-WeathermanShawn (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?13152-New-Tuning-Tutorial-WeathermanShawn/page5)

If your engine displacement is not 5.669 Litres (i.e. 5.7L) use Notepad to edit the file, change 5.669 to whatever your displacement is in Litres; if you have displacement in cubic inches, then divide by 61 to get Litres (e.g. 427ci/61 = 7L).

Copy the file to the folder My Documents\EFILive\V7.5\User Configuration.

Then start the scantool, and on the PIDs tab look for the pids LTFTBEN and VE_Table.
