Error 08 on my LM-1. One day before a huge track event too. Any advice, known repairs??? I swapped parts with a buddies box and its in the module itself. All the cables and sensors work fine with my friends stuff.

Any help is greatly appreciated:cheers:

Error 8 = bad sensor

I know that's what the code says but, I have a friends right beside it and all my wiring and sensor work great with his box ( the unit itself). I opened it up and ohm checked the cable connections, but they are ok, no obvious problems inspecting the board. Thanks, Rodney

Try doing a heater calibration...

If it still fails, borrow your friend's sensor, be sure to do a heater cal when you connect it to your controller.

His LM-1 may not be as sensitive as yours.
I have the LC-1 and anytime error 8 occurs a new sensor is the cure.

Does the error happen as soon as the device powers up or does it drop while in use?

Pays to have multiple sensors laying around. Rem to do the re-characterization (Heater / Free Air cals) anytime you change a sensor.

Update: I ran all my wires/plugs with a friends lm1 box all weekend with no trouble. The code is the first thing to pop up on the screen. How can I calibrate after it does that. It just stays on that screen.
Thanks...

PS thought it odd not to see yall at the Camarofest EFI. Figured mark would have to be there. Huge turn out, but the crowd was rich and snooty for my taste. I enjoyed skull dragging many 5th gen maggie cars tho:hihi:
