Andy,
Cool, those filters have lots of surface area.
Does that fit under the stock Ram Air hood...?
Cheers

How does it run with those filters? Did you have to change the tuning? It looks like it might need a little. Where did you get those?

That's a great looking set up. Should gain you some hp. Some more tuning fun on the horizon I'll bet.

wow - hadn't looked in here in a few days - OK a month. To answer all your questions, I don't know. The motor is still out getting the top end rebuilt. Just waiting on a set of pushrods to get the project moving again.
How do you like those headers Joe?

How do you like those headers Joe? Andy,
They sitting assembled in my spare bedroom... LOL... (so far I like them great... LOL :exactly:).
I haven't had time to put them on yet (too many excuses: family member was was in hospital, my boss wanted more time, my Mrs wants help with her Christmas shopping (so I'm pushing her along so she can be finished right away), brother-in-law has starting problems, my Mrs' other car needs work to pass smog,... :bawl: ugh, the list goes on... I do too many things at once... :bash:).
But now I'm on holidays from work for 3 weeks as of today, so I can get my wits about me, and I'm cutting up my LC-1 and wiring up with nice connectors, so the headers will be installed any day now.:cheers:
I going to do an AutoTune before and after to compare.
Cheers

I can get my car 24 inches off the ground (at the frame rails), would this be enough height...?
Thanks,

Andy,
I like the throttle body.
What heads are those (706)...?
What manifold is that...?
Do you have the LS6 in-the-valley PCV kit/separator...?
When pulling engine/trans/k-member from below, does steering rack need to come off first, or can it just stay on the k-member...?
Razor blade on M6 bell housing, will that also work for A4...? :hihi::cucumber:
Looks like you've been busy, good work mate.
Cheers,
Joe

NW90
5.3L heads - improved by TEA - further improved by HPE
FAST 90 - couldn't stand the FAST under the hood - didn't go well with resonance coupled plasma discharges
LS6 Valley Cover
I'll start a new thread with more detail on removing the engine from the bottom
snnnnnnnnnniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiffffffffffffff ffffff - what razor blade :notacrook:
(not that I would know anything about that habit)
It's all waiting on a custom set of pushrods for final assembly.
Thank you sir, it has been busy the last few months.
If it all goes as planned, she should be putting out right about 1,342,260,000 Joules/hr on the hind quarters :banana:
You gonna tackle the headers before or after Christmas?

You gonna tackle the headers before or after Christmas? I was planning on this Wed or Thurs, but my best laid plans have been getting interrupted by other "more important things" :nixweiss: that my familiy and friends can think up, so I'll probably do it on Dec 26th when everyone is still sleeping :cucumber::banana:

I tend to make great progress while the others are sleeping.
From your above post, 24" should be plenty. I installed my Jethot's with the car a little lower than that. The passenger side slipped right in, but the driver side hung on the block machining tab. There were several options to get around it, but I found the easiest to be removing the driver side motor mount and using a floor jack and 2x4 to lift the left bank 1/2".
You might also consider installing poly motor mounts while you do the header install. You will probably find it to be the challenge of a life time, but it's worth while and much easier to do while the headers are out.

okay, 24" is good to go;
understood, lift left side 1/2";
do mounts while doing headers, good idea;
(...so it's okay to support engine using 2x4 under oil pan...)
Thanks :cheers::beer::beer:

as long as you distribute the load to the oil pan side walls you should be ok. I've lifted mine a few times via that method with no ill side effects.
