lb7 ecm is locked by another v2 and cant get into it. is it possible for me to perform a full reflash and write over the locked calibration with a new one?

Not unless you know the seed/key that was used to lock the ECM. If it has just been tuned by another V2, then you can read the tune out no problem. If its actually locked, then you either have to have the original V2 flash in an unlocked tune or pull the flash chip and bench flash it.

how hard is it to bench flash it? ive heard of using this process on the old prom chips. didnt know you could do it with these.
what do you do just find it and expose it to light?

I honestly have no idea, Im pretty sure you have to unsolder the chip from the PCB board though as I doubt GM went to the trouble of socketing these chips. Older ones there was no choice, dealers had to update the PCMs somehow, but for current gen hardware I doubt it. Also it would make the packaging slightly bigger.

Anyone else on here know, this isnt my area of expertise!
