For the serial wideband, log these:
EXT.WO2AFR1
EXT.WO2LAM1
EXT.WO2EQR1
EXT.WO2ST1

The BEN pid is CALC.BEN1.

You don't have to change the outputs of the LM-1.

Be sure to update your software/firmware, see here: showthread.php?t=13550 (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=13550)

Ah, yes ,you're right...:doh2:

CALC.BEN1_E38... do rightclick->More info and you will see that you also need E38.AFRATIO_DMA.

For throttle position log GM.APP.

Log, RPM, MAF, MAP, VSS, LONGTFT1/2, ECT, IAT... and a few others.

For some reason, the EXT.WO2EQR1 PID isn't showing in my scan 7.5.

For some reason, the EXT.WO2EQR1 PID isn't showing in my scan 7.5.Which builds of V7.5 and V8.1 do you have installed...?

The latest are V7.5.6.116 and V8.1.2.97 (includes firmware 2.6.35 and bootblock 2.6.3) available here (http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=133).

I had the up to date V8.1.2.97, downloaded V7.5.6.116. Have bootblock V2.6.3. Thought the updater should have taken care of downloading the latest software.

Rebooted and still don't have the PID for EQ Ratio for the EXT wideband.

I'm not seeing the CALC.BEN1 PID either. Reloaded the updates and have CALC.BEN1, but still no EQR1.

On the PIDs tab, click on the column heading "Parameter" (i.e. on the column heading itself) to sort on that column...

then scroll down that column until you see the EXT.WO2 pids...

then scroll back up until you see CALC.BEN1.

[ I think the updater will take care of it from now on ]

Got the EXT.WO2EQR1 PID now but it has an X through it that it's not supported.

That's ok...

If you're logging from the scantool (passthru), validate pids, select those pids, and then record.

If you're logging from V2 (BBL), first setup to have those pids automatically logged (see pic).

FWIW, the VVE titorial for E38's is on the EFILive download site.....

http://download.efilive.com/Tutorials/PDF/Virtual%20VE%20Adjustment%20Tutorial.pdf

Also, accelerator position is not used for VVE work. The bare minimum PID's would be...

MAP: SAE.MAP
RPM: SAE.RPM
WBO2: EXT.WOAFR1

The BEN PID can be added in at any time as it's a calculated PID. This also means that it's not available for normal BBL, but can be listed as an additional PID for when the log is opened in TuneTool. If using a serial WB unit, then you need to also select...

BEN1_E38: CALC.BEN1_E38

But you can select this later when viewing the log if you choose.

Then in TuneTool, you need to also select the correct MAP to display the data. I use a MAP called "Virtual VE Table - TechEdge WB BEN.map" but I think it's one I made up. The WB type isn't going to really matter as it's the BEN data that does all the work. I've included a copy of the MAP just in case it's not a std MAP.
