Hi all,
I found this forum while searching for info on rev limiters, so perhaps someone here can help me. I race a very competitive little 1993 Asuna Sunfire on an oval circuit. This car is a GM version of the Isuzu Impulse. It had a DOHC 16V 4 cylinder. My problem is that I need to stretch out the RPMS by about 500 or so in order to run with all the very quick Hondas. I think that the rev limiter is controlled by the ECU, but I am not sure, or what the procedure used is. I do know its electronic, because it developes a miss when I hit it. (Every 8 seconds for a 15 minute race) I am wondering if this earlier ECU can be played with at all to eliminate the cut out. I have already exhausted all my gearing/tire size options, so this is the only option left that I can think of.
Thanks in advance
