Hi a while back some guys were trying to get the 411 swap into an older vortec vehicle and engine. They said they were going to release the pinouts when this swap was proven it worked. I see it has worked. Is there somewhere on this forum that shows various pinouts for various vehicles and pcm's? My brother has a 1997 S10 with a 4.3 vortec v6 5spd. We are currently turbocharging it, and want to install the 411 pcm for boost control. Im hoping I dont have to pay at alldata to find the wiring info I need. Is their a link someone could put up on this forum to find that info? Ive searched here with no luck yet. Thanks Keith

Introduce yourself, explain that you saw their thread, explain your situation, and ask politely for the information... and if you have some info now or later be willing to volunteer it... I'm sure they will give you a nice reception.

The other thing you might want to consider is getting the engine wiring harness. They are pretty cheap from S10warehouse on ebay and come with a ECM. If you get one for a manual, post the stock cal on http://www.holdencrazy.com/

See if this link works for you:

That would definitely be a good idea for an older S10 that was getting a Vortec engine swap. But,The repin is too easy, so a harness is not really needed.

Hi nevinsb. Is your turbo setup on your S10 a front mount setup or rear mount? Any pictures of this setup?

It's a front mount turbo with headers from Mach performance (Who went out of business).

There's some more pictures on that page if you browse around. The internet I have access to isn't fast at all, and has about 50% packet loss. I haven't had the chance to take more since I am closer to NZ than I am to WI. The wiring was cleaned up, the AC was removed, and e-fans were installed.

On S10planet, there are some good build threads from Zygoat, King_Ice_Flash, S10LS, 98SS.

Im considering using the marine intake conversion for the turbo part of this build. IM pretty sure its not going to be a problem for the 411 pcm conversion. Maybe efi live forum is not the place for this question but im going to ask it anyway. Has anyone used this intake for a turbo setup? Does it work ok with a turbo setup? They are like 200 bucks brand new, and except for wiring in the injectors from the poppet style, was it pretty much a simple swap? Any comments are welcome. Thanks Keith

There a several V6 Marine Turbo setups out there. Everyone I have seen has worked great.

This is the most v6 marine intake manifold swap specific info I've seen in one spot so far. Its not the only way to do it, but a handy reference.

I just wanted to give a little update to this thread. We got the truck running with the 411 pcm. It fired right up and runs great, smooth and strong.Cant wait to dump this poppet spider intake into the trash can and I think we are going to do the 2114 intake swap instead of the marine intake. Then the turbo will go on. Thanks for everyones help and esp Jeff (lextech). He was a pleasure to talk with. Keith

Cool, let me know if you have any questions about the manifold. It was a pretty big pain, but it has lots of room in it to do porting :)

I got a 411 to work on a 91 4.3 engine (syclone), so it can be done. It used an '02 harness, but the truck was an '02 so it was not that bad. The biggest PITA was putting a 3X reluctor on the crank, and had to make an injector harness but most everything else was PnP.

No pin out was required.

The truck starts right up and idles smoothly. Just waiting for the Spring thaw to attempt to put a 15 PSI tune on it. Boost is being by passed for now.
