New forum looks , looks kind of Facebookish , do you have a choice of themes ?

I'm sure there probably are themes available for it, but there didn't appear (from a very brief look) to be any choices in the default installation.

In all likelihood we'll keep the theme unaltered, like we have done with the vBulletin 3.x software.

The link you gave is the default theme http://forum.efilive.com/announcement.php?f=8, it looks new and improved , would be nice if you could do some EFILive icons for the folder set on the far left thread segments , just a thought .

This is a good opportunity for you all to get familiar with what everyone is going to be updating to soon :). vBulletin 4.0.x has been out for a while now and is at the point where it is considered stable (which is why we upgraded). I personally actually like the aesthetic of the site, the vBulletin 3.x skin was looking kind of dated. Might have a look around a bit later and see if there is a better "Skin". First priority is ensuring stability thought :)

I would expect that at some point any vBulletin site will migrate to version 4.x. They will probably have significant consideration and testing around advertising/sponsorship as that is their revenue stream.

I would surprised if any of the big forums switched to this version unless they can retain a similar layout they currently use. If it isn't broke, don't fix it. Besides, what happened to form follows function? There has to be better skins available than this one. It just doesn't work. :bad:

there were a bunch more there to pick from. just replace "21" with "20"-"14"

15 isn't too bad either. there is a problem with some of the darker icons and such with this dark theme.

I didn't say anything before and I really hated that, but this is a whole lot worse. I don't care if it's black or blue or anything, I just want to easily find the new threads and while it was hard on the last one, I finally got there, but this one makes it almost impossible.

There is a 'New Posts' link just below the EFILive Logo which I expect is what you're after.

The Black is a little dark, and I agree not really EFILive'ish. I'll try and find a white based theme with blues and be done with it :)

To be honest, I'd like to see the EFILive web site and the forum looking as close as possible "the same". This helps with "brand identification" and lets you know pretty quickly that the two sites are linked in some way.

I like this new theme, but agree with everyone that a blue/white theme that complements EFILive's main website would be even better. This is much better than the original one though!

Black is like everyone else says not EFILiveish , the first one was not bad , a little light , but okay.
If they have mobile version that you can do in the HTML , that would be nice for mobile phone users , again just a thought .

Ok. For the moment I have added the Blue and Gold theme as well. And I've also enabled the ability for you to choose which one you want. Those that like dark or light take you pick.

Agree and EFI home is very easy to look at.
