Hey all,

I now have a 2010 Tahoe with a 5.3 Ly5 i think...I have DOD and flexfuel option.

On my old 2006 Tahoe, i made all the timing tables the same which were the GM high table. Can i do the same for this new engine?

I find that the engine preforms better, and i always use 95 octane fuel. I do not mess with my Maf temp to timing pull.

on my new tahoe I have full length headers, catback, 1.8 rockers, Throttle body spacer and air intake kit. I am about to disable the P0420/P0430 due to my high flowing cats...The MIL is starting to bother me.

Looking forward to your replies

Do you have cats with your headers...?

Replace the cats with pipes, replace the rear O2 with plugs, set the rear O2 codes and the cat codes to Not-Reported and MIL ON (yes ON... this makes the readiness tests say Ready).

I would like to keep the cats...

What about the timing?

Ok, then set the cat codes to Not-Reported and MIL ON.

Timing: if you're running with the MAF, the the ECM slides between the timing tables when knock is detected... you're safer to keep the Low Octane table lower than the High Octane table... if your engine really is not knocking then the ECM will use timing from the HO table so performance should not be an issue.

Sir,

That isnt my main question....I am more concerend about copyin the high timing table to all the other tables as mentioned before...

I have the DOD or now known as AFM...Will copyin the high timing to the others for a more smoother operation cause issues?

I will not play with knock nor MAF timing retards

Oh, I see... AFM/DOD is out of my league... someone who knows will chime in...

In the meantime do post your tune file.
