I have a car I'm tuning right now and I can't get the fans to work. If I command them on it gives me a message that says "NO RESPONSE" I'm also getting a P1637 But I can't find any wires broken. If I manually hook a positive to the fans they come on. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking of swapping in another pcm to see if I can command them on. Also if I do need a new pcm can I reflash it or do I need to buy another license for the car?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

To flash the ECM you will need to have an available license on your FlashScan; there's no way around that requirement.

2001-01250003. It was a os 12202088-12204901 cal. Does this sound like it's a bad pcm? He did have his alternator wire fall off and short out and start a fire would this fry a pcm? So if I get a blank pcm and buy another license can I flash a blank pcm or do i need one with the OS that the car came with?

Most people would probably go to the 2002 OS (12212156). Can't comment on what a fire might do :nixweiss:.

Yes I've used that os a few times it was just easier to use the tune I made for the car before the aps kit. So it didn't need to migrate the whole tune to another os.

You should be fine with an LS1 controller. It is the E40/E38/E67 that need and initial flash.

I got it figured out it was a bad pcm swapped it for a spare I had laying around. Everything works and my injector settings finally worked.
