If I want to use a tune from 1 pcm and use it as a baseline for another and they use 2 different OSs is that a problem?
Basically I have a tune for an 06 GTO M6 OS 12604792 Calibration 12604791 OS ID AA BCC YMUM that I want to try on an 05 GTO M6 OS 12596734 Calibration 12596733 OS ID AA BCC YKWB. The cars mods are the same, cam, lt headers, intake etc. Can I just flash that or will it require a full reflash to change OS? I can copy the VE tables and a few other tables to get me started, not a big deal just time consuming for a base map. This tune has a lot of time into it and I think it will be very close. Just need to know if I attempt it will it turn the PCM into a paperweight or not.

This is one you need to be careful with changing the OS. If your E40 has svc number 12597883 then you are ok. If not...you may brick it. Late E40's ran different internal boot software. If you are intent on trying it then message back and I will look up my ref info and see what works.

I do thank you for this info, as this is exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks for your help

There is a way to have the same changes to the other ECU with out touching other parameters. Compare the stock file with the file you made, then create script. Then you can use this script on the other file.

It is important to follow the sequence I mentioned, Stock then modified.
