I am hoping someone can help me. I currently have a 2005 grand prix gxp with the LS4 E40 and T4653-hd with the t42 controller. I am trying to read off the exisiting calibration from the T42 controller with no success. I am able to read and save the E40 controller with no problem. I am using the 7.5 software (check for update today) with the V2 scan tool. When I read the controller all test successfully pass. The scan tool appears to read the entire controller. Then at the very end I get an error stating the OS is unsupported. It won't even let me save any data it pulled. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks
Chris

It may simply be that the OS has not been seen by us before and needs to be sent to us (as noted on the message) and we can create the calibration map. If you are able to read it it means it should be supportable, otherwise the bootloaders would not have allowed a successful read operation.

Send to file to me at [email protected].

You should manually check your software version numbers as older versions will not automatically detect the newer updates.

In the Tuning Tool software, select the Help->About screen and note the version and build numbers.
Then compare them with what is listed on our downloads page here:
http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=133
The current release available is V7.5.6 build 117.

If your software is earlier than that, you should download the V7.5 and V8 installation files and install both V7.5 and V8.
After installing V8, you should also update the boot block and/or firmware in your FlashScan V2.
The document Start->All Programs->EFILive->V8->Documents->Upgrading Firmware explains the firmware upgrade process.
