Hi ss396,

Welcome to the forum...

EFILive V4 supports scanning/logging on GM OBD-I vehicles.

Which vehicles are you interested in programming...?

See: supported vehicles (http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=100&Itemid=82).

The EFILive V4 product is a software only license (it doesn't include cables). We recommend cables from Moates Ware for use with EFILive V4 as they are know to work (supporting the 8192 BAUD requirement. Here is a link to their site: http://www.moates.net/product_info.php?cPath=64&products_id=127 and http://www.moates.net/product_info.php?cPath=64&products_id=128.

As Joe mentions EFILive V4 is an OBDI/ALDL scan tool only. If you are looking for a tuning solution (and they are listed on our supported vehicles pages) the FlashScan V2 Scan and Tune tool is the product to go for.

EFILive V4 works with all the vehicles listed in the Index.doc file from the ALDLStuff.zip file from this site: ftp://ftp.diy-efi.org/pub/gmecm/
There are more vehicles defined in that file than are currently supported by EFILive V4, but you can set up a data stream definition for EFILive V4 yourself for any vehicle in that zip file.
