I'm working on a project and I got a couple of questions... I need to build a stand-alone harness for a 98' Camaro 5.7 engine, If I use the pin-out/schematic from a 99-2002 LS1 & use a 2002 0411 PCM will it be fine? Or do I need to build the harness using the 98' pin-out/schematic & 98' PCM only? I'm thinking I should be fine but I want to make sure...:D
The engine doesn't have stock harness or pcm... The engine & sensor's are identical right? The 98' PCM & Harness are the only thing's that changed(different location of sensor's on pin-out) from 99-2002...

Using the 2002 pinouts will be fine. Depending on what vehicle it will end up in you may want to consider two changes. First the 1998 had a three wire ECT sensor, the extra wire directly feeds the cluster for the temp gauge. Also you may want to add the fuel level sensor output from the PCM which the 2002 G-Van has to input the fuel gauge.

Thanks AL, the motor is going into a 66' Chevy truck.
