I had another incidence of a 2002 O.S. causing the truck to stall, glow plug light to flicker along with the SES light after I converted it to DSP5 and full flashed it. Because of this I had to bench flash an ECM with 6006 operating system converted to DSP5 and scripted to the customers new tune.

I thought this issue had been resolved in an earlier release. :angel_innocent:

Here's the two O.S.'s I used, flashy twitchy is the bad one, 6006 DSP5 is the fix. Both are stock, so don't bother downloading to inspect. :bangin:

Hope this helps somebody.

Ross would have to confirm this but IIRC there was a "bad" 2002 OS.

I don't flash anything other than a Federal 2002/15186006 OS into my 2001 and 2002 trucks.

Why bother with any other OS ?????

I sell EFILive to end customers. These customers often follow the DSP5 upgrade tutorials when switching their trucks to DSP5. Switching to 6006 solves the problem for me but it doesn't solve the problem of phone calls and emails I get from customers who have the same issues. If this O.S. is a problem, it's my suggestion that a work-around be added to the tutorial. Maybe instead of offering scripts for all LB7 O.S.'s, Ross and Paul could modify the DSP5 document to use a 6006 O.S. upgrade for '01 and '02 trucks.

Perhaps include the 6006 OS with your sale and tell your 2001/2002 customers to upgrade to that and save yourself the trouble from the start.

That makes more sense to me then rewriting a tutorial that many people unfortunately do not read.

That OS was the last release for 2002's and it is available for Allison and ZF-6 speed trucks. It works for all of the cab configurations and options and if you have a 26 and 34 gallon fuel tank segment to offer all your bases are covered.

Just my humble opinion on the matter at hand.

Don't remember this being the issue anyway.
