View Full Version : Ideas of the cause for the slight KR in this log?

This is the 2004 Z06 I posted about a few days ago. It was tuned by a popular local LSx tune shop. I had the customer log while he was bedding in his new race pads. I was surprised at how good his LTFT's were but I am concerned about his KR. So here is the log, please check it out and give your inputs as to what caused it.

To me it looks like he was in a high gear at WOT, so engine load was quite high. There are LTH's installed so maybe the acoustics caused the knock condition.

Could be just a little 'Tip-In' KR...when you smash the throttle at lower Rpm's (<4000 Rpm) and the cylinder is taking in a lot of air very rapidly.

See Dogg, this is where a wideband Log would be extremely useful. Since you are below the MAF Threshold (B0120) for Airflow Calculation, your airflow and hence fueling is being corrected/commanded with input from the VE Table.

It is really not a lot' of KR, but it shows that working on the VE Tables can help with that transitional airflow and fueling.

That is my O2..
