PE mode question

I have done a search and found a few basic items I can tune as I ease my way into tuning gassers but in all the searching I haven't found a good answer as to why GM would, what appears to be disable the PE mode on the 6.0 motors.

On my 01 6.0
B3608 - is set to 60 second
B3010 - is set to 5500

Is there really a good reason for this?

I don't know the answer, and I can't think of a good reason... it may have to do with emissions.

But, regardless, set B3608 and B3609 to zeros.
