Ok went out to test A/F logging feature (external)
- read PCM

My external voltage readings, w/o any signal being sent starts off at 3.5V. When I send a signal from my wideband, the A/F values and Voltage values are all over the place and they bear no resemblance to the A/F values showing on my Blitz EBC which has been confirmed to be accurate on the dyno...What could be causing this and how do I fix it? Should I be getting a pretty constant rating vs. a reading that continues to cycle from high to low?

:( :( :( :(

Are you able to test the FlashScan unit by applying a known good voltage (i.e. a 1.5V battery) to the A/D inputs?

You could also simply short the two pins on the A/D input's with a screwdriver. The center pin is the Ground, then short it to either of the outside terminals.
The voltage should of course read zero once you have done this.
Don't worry, you can't hurt anything.

Alright, I tried jumping the ground to the AD2 input and voltage dropped to 0. That got me thinkin' (dangerous sometimes ;) ). I remember reading in the Manual for my AEM wideband that there is a signal ground output(?) wire, used for systems with a differential input. I didn't have to use this when I originally set my w/b up to feed my EBC. I decided to try using the w/b ground as the ground for the flashscan ground input....worked like a charm.

So far all you guys using the AEM 30-2300 W/Bs, use the orange wire (0-5v) to feed AD1 or AD2 and the brown wire (signal ground) to feed the flashscan ground.

Wonder if it makes sense to start keeping a record of setup instructions (formulas and wiring) for the various widebands that are out there. It might save some of us a lot of frustration in trying set these things up. Just a thought. Thanks for the help.
