lmm dvt service regen

So i had an lmm come in with plugged dpf due to being programmed with ppe with dpf delete,lol. Anyway performed service regen with scan tool DVT controls. My question is does this service regen complete its cycle and shuttoff by itself or do i have to end the process using the DVT controls?

I tried DVT to do this, and was unable to initiate regeneration. Are specific parameters required, speed, grams soot, etc?

Seems I can't use DVT controls lately for the tasks I want.
