View Full Version : Failed full reflash on previously licensed pcm & now no longer licensed???

Well I've been doing some back & forth on another issue, thread link below:

After a little break I decide to give it another whirl on the tune. After I connect and want to flash on an already licensed pcm, I am told that my cable is not licensed to this pcm & to click that option. I read that this very thing happened to another member that was having trouble flashing his tune as well. Although I did not see a resolution for his isolated issue.

First off please ensure you are running the latest software and FlashScan V2 firmware:
- 7.5.6. Build 132: http://download.efilive.com/Software/V7.5/EFILiveV7.5.6.132_Setup.exe
- 8.1.2 Build 112: http://download.efilive.com/Software/V8/EFILiveV8.1.2.113_Setup.exe
- FlashScan V2 firmware 2.06.40 (included in V8 download)

If this doesn't resolve the issue please email (support@efilive.com) the screenshot of the 'Flash->Get PCM Info' menu option in the tune tool.

I tried running the check for updates previously and did not receive an update. It was running on Build 130, Build 111, & the firmware was the latest 2.06.40.

Thank you for the links. I will update ASAP and see if this will resolve my issue. Do I need to run a recover pcm?

*UPDATE*

The updates did not resolve my problem & have sent an email to support.

Hello bai78,

Out of town on business .. trying to follow the Forum remotely when I get a chance ... sounds like you found part of the flash problem !!!

Good luck getting the tuning software up and running. Once that is corrected, the reflash of the PCM should work. Sounds like the PCM may have never flashed properly prior.
