I have been messing with the after run fan settings trying to get them to run after the car is shut off. This car has an electric water pump, turbo, headers and a lot of under hood heat, so I want the fans and water pump (is activated by the fans) to run for a bit when the car is shut off. I can't seem to get it to work. I have set the parameters to:
90689069

does the after run have limits like the run fans do (192 deg)? Any help would be great.

Hello MattS,

You’re working on a ’07 Monte Carlo SS with an LS4 5.3 L and a 4T65E ?

Regarding fan settings …

G0901

controls fans during normal engine operation (engine running)
based on ECT

G0902

controls fans during normal engine operation (engine running)
based on ACP (air conditioner pressure)

G0922 – G0926

are “after run” (engine not running) parameters

You should be able to set these parameters to suit your needs, without effecting G0901 or G0902 function. That is, set the temps for high (G0922 & G0923) and low (G0924 & G0925) to what you require. Set maximum run time (G0926) to have the effect you’re after, keeping in mind reasonable reserve battery power.

Regards,
Taz

Ya, I got the settings, they just don't seem to work no matter were I set the upper or lower temp settings. I am working on a monte carlo, kind of a 5.3, not much GM left in the engine. ECU is stock except for a 2.5 bar map and 4" maf and the calibraiton. The engine run fans work fine.
Thanks for the help,
MattS
