Whats the correct way to disable the rear O2 sensors?
Disable the MIL for any error code reltated to them or is there a main function that i
dont see? (Camaro L99)

Hello horst,

To fully disable the rear O2 sensors, in the “DTC Type” folder set the following to “Not Reported”:

P0036
P0054
P0056
P0060
P0137
P0138
P013A through P014B
P0157
P0158
P0160
P0161
P2270 through P2273

Setting all of these to “Not Reported” should eliminate the MIL light coming on. If you want, you can also set the above parameters to “No Mil” in the “DTC MIL” folder.

Overkill, but it should work !!

Taz

Will this allow the vehicle to pass emissions when scanned for "monitors"?

Don't know for sure ... never tried it ... highly doubt it would pass a "readiness" test if that's what you're asking ...

Yeah so essentially turning it off is useless, just to get rid of a few lumens in the face.

This would be for offroad use only.

I often forget this is a global forum ... in my area emissions tests are a visual inspection and a tailpipe test on a chassis dyno ... originally, I simply answered the gentleman's question ... hadn't thought that my answer could possibly be used to invalidate an emissions test ... not sure if it would ... but that was not my intention.

Think before you answer questions Taz .....

Taz it's ok I'm a Cat - lover so to speak. I have a V6 so if I open up the exhaust too much it sounds like twin raspy inline 3's which sound like arse, so a cat not only makes it sound smoother I don't sulfuer out the guy behind me :)

That's ok, I'm just reminding people to keep emissions-legal.

I'd love to keep a turbocharged version of my car emissions legal. I'll be getting another Supra for the fun stuff, but I just need 350whp to make this lardo sedan get up and go. Now if only someone can help me tune for boost on the E67. :) People say it can be done, but they don't know how : /

Emission legal was not the point, its needed just to switch off the light.
Thanks a lot for you detailed help, i will try it in the next days :good:
