anyone else have this msg pop up before when trying to tune a E37 equipped vehicle? It's a 07 Silverado w/ a 4.3L V6. Never tuned before, cant even pull the stock file.
help! And yes, I've updated my software to the current version and have even removed and reinstalled the software.
Thanks!

Hi Matt,
This hasn't been reported as an issue with the E37 before.
Do you know how to get the .blx traces and send them to support? The error you see is quite strange, we really need to see the log (blx file) of the communications between the ECM and your PC.
Cheers,
Ross

Here is a knowledgebase article to get the diagnostics required (http://support.efilive.com/kb_article.php?ref=8254-QOGC-9586).

Looking at the debug it appears that you are not running the latest software and firmware versions which in all likelihood are the cause of the issue.
Can you please update to (at least) the versions on our Downloads Page (http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=133). This will get you to 7.5.6 Build 133, 8.1.2. Build 115 and V2 firmware 2.06.41.
Here are more details on software and firmware updates:
- Software (http://support.efilive.com/kb_article.php?ref=5404-IJZV-0820)
- Firmware (http://support.efilive.com/kb_article.php?ref=7243-SFGL-2949)
Let us know if that resolves the issue...
Cheers,

From the debug I believe you to be running 7.5.6 Build 123 and V2 firmware 2.06.12. Both of these release are out of date and we do need you to update to the latest versions before investigating any remaining issue. The 2.06.12 firmware especially is extremely old. The software and firmware have a co-dependence so it is essential that you update both the V7, V8 and V2 firmware when available (as described in the knowledge base articles).

i feel like a noob but would you run down the firmware update process in case i'm missing something?? I know for a fact the others are up to date, I removed and reinstalled the software then updated it right before that bug report was made.

See the links in post #8 here, that should guide you through both processes. The software versions after you have downloaded the latest versions from the downloads page should be 7.5.6 Build 133, 8.1.2 Build 115. The V8 version is shown on the main page of EFILive Scan And Tune. The V7 versions is shown when you go to the 'Help-About' menu option in the Tune Tool.

Yeah the V7 software will require a later firmware than what you have installed is going to be my guess. We have no other outstanding issues so I'm pretty confidant this is going to resolve it for you :)

hope it works,,, went through the process of updating all software and firmware but maybe had a comm error that prevented the firmware update from loading correctly.
thanks

The firmware has been updated to 2.06.41 as required, but it appears your V7.5 software is still 7.5.6 Build 123. Can you please confirm you have (or perform) upgrade to 7.5.6 Build 133?

Now is good for me if it works for you. Being connected to truck would be good so we can hopefully make some progress.

ok so I've not worked out the E37 issue yet but thats not that important at the moment. I've developed a new issue since I've removed and installed and completed all the updates.
Now when building a DSP5 tune, after I've upgraded the os, converted to imperial, ran the dsp5 late LB7 imperial script, about half way through running, I get an "invalid floating point operation" error.
What's this??
thanks!!
