Rear O2 sensors for e38 VE V8 or G8?

I am purchasing another wideband shortly (a single channel techedge) which can use the NTK L1H1 sensor. Techedge does not sell these sensors, but just quickly looking on google images the NTK sensor and plug looks a hell of a lot like a rear post cat sensor on vehicles fitted with e38s ie VEs and G8s. Can anyone confirm this?

Had a look last night and not the same, different style sensor to the front sensors though.

It would have been good if they were the same. I would have a spare set of sensors then :)
