Downloaded my 06 LBZ program (OS 12616698).

I removed the "Fingerstick" but retained the EGR blocker plate, so I modifed the following values to clear the P0401 CEL:

B1501 Disable
B1502 100
B1503 140
B1504 -40
B1505 -1
B1506 100

Changed H0136 value to 587 for 315-10-17 tires.

Am I on the right track so far?

My ultimate plans are for a good gas milage tow tune. (I also noticed that in many EFILive tune "librarys" sites there are very few 12616698 files).

Doing this in "baby steps"...

Hello Ray,

I don’t do diesel tuning, so I can’t help out with your first question.

Regarding changes in tire size – the software uses the tire diameter to calculate necessary changes. If you go to the Speedometer segment, open the parameters category, you will see the Speedo Calculator button.

Open the Speedo Calculator and input your current tire diameter. The software will automatically recalculate tire circumference, revs per mile (probably won’t match the manufacturer’s value), and pulses per mile. After you click on the “apply” button, you will notice H0136 has been updated to a new value.

Save the changes. You can then go back into the Speedo Calculator to use the “Shift Point Correction” utility – to update transmission values based on your new tires.

Taz

Thank you Taz on the info on the tire sizing. Didn't realize their was a “Shift Point Correction” utility.

Here is a script for turning off egr on an LBZ. The speedo calculator doesn't seem to work right on my LBZ. It says I should use 637 r/mile and factory is 652r/mile (for 265s). 652 is right on with my GPS.

That is my plan today. Borrowing wifes GPS to verify speed.

Drove truck around yesterday, the P0401 code is gone. Now I need to bring the shift point lower (that will be another thread). Thanks for all the help.

I have to use 2 sizes lower (about 2.5%) to get correct readings. It has always been an issue with 06-on. I have to think that it is an easy software adjustment for the next update.
