View Full Version : Has there been the ability added to show the CVN history?

I was wondering if the ability to read the last 10 CVN has been added to EFILive yet? It would be useful to actually pull this info if buying a used LMM to see if it has been tuned. Seen a few people who bought a used LMM and the transmission had been trashed in one of them but of course it passed their inspection of used cars goes. You know oil change and a quick wash and vacuum. If I know of others looking at used LMMs I could see if it had non GM tune in it.

This would be good for the 2010 Camaro as well.

So the following info I have pulled from the A40 ECM is the last different CVN data meaning the top is the current and the next line is the next to last tune CVN and so on.

Yeah thats correct. Anyways this is the info doing the record everything option. So what I am seeing is the first line is current tune info and next was the tune in it the time before that?

Actually maybe that option wasn't added, I thought it had been. I will need to confirm with Paul if it was.

What you're seeing is the current CVN for each segment of the ECM. The same segments that will be shown when you load up a *.tun file with EFILive.
The ability to view the historical CVN's has not been added to the EFILive software of V2 firmware yet. IT is something we intend to add.

The reflash history logging is also in the new E39 & E78 ECM's.

Dragging this one back up as I see where you said you plan on adding the CVN tracking, but haven't found confirmation of it yet.

Yes we should add it in to V8 because many of GM's controllers will report this data.
