Reading an HP tune

Can EFI live modify or read a system flashed by an HP tune?

I found someone with a working L92 4 speed tune but its in HP tuners on a different OS.

Not if it a custom OS, if it's just a tune on a standard GM operating system AND the ECM is not locked then you could read and use it.

That is a standard E38 OS, so like GMPX said if it's not locked you can read it with EFILive no problem.

OS 12617631 is a 2008 E38 tune. What is the service number on your current ECM ? 12597121 ?

I am having him tune a new E38 and T42. I am keeping the existing ones for back up and to continue to tune.

Excellent ... I know you must have been beyond frustrated. The above 2008 OS requires an E38 ECM with service number 12612384 ..... FYI.
