View Full Version : Autocal Error Code $0524

I recently downloaded a file from efi live explorer onto my Autocal unit. When I go to install the file onto my truck I get the error code $0524. Can anyone tell me what this means.

Which V7 software build version...? I don't know where to find this. Please let me know.

The unit has worked fine until I loaded this new tune today

The error description for the $0524 error is "While verifying the contents of a *.ctd the data in the file could not be decoded. This usually indicates that the file has not been saved correctly.". It is possible that you did not wait long enough for the CTD file to be copied up to your AutoCal device.

While there is a lot of information and people around here that can likely assist you, for AutoCal related support you really need to go back to the tuner that supplied you with the device. If someone here gives you advise to reconfigure the AutoCal for instance whose problem is it then (it is no longer in the format your tuner provided or intended you to receive)?

In tunetool go Help->About to get the V7 software version.

What about 7.5.6 build...?

The V7.5 tunetool is used to create the .ctd file.
