Over the last year or so we have been slowly working on this function with EFI Live, and has been available for quite a while, but I finally got some time to test it last week.

In order for the EFI Live to Mainline DynoLog integration to work, you need a long RS232 cable to go from the V2 interface to a spare com port on one of our Dyno PC's, any of our dyno's that have OBDII optioned can do the EFI Live integration.
http://d.imagehost.org/0866/V2_RS232_2.jpg (http://d.imagehost.org/view/0866/V2_RS232_2)

Working with EFI Live, we came up with a protocol of various PIDS that would be sent in either direction from EFI Live to the Dyno, and vice versa Dyno to EFI Live.
The PIDS we send back to EFI Live are:

Dyno Power (HP/Kw)
Dyno Torque (Ft-lb/Nm)
Dyno AFR
Dyno Ambient Temp
Dyno Baro Pressure
Dyno Relative Humidity
Dyno Atmos Correction
Dyno Carbon Monoxide % (CO%)
Dyno Carbon Dioxide % (CO2%)
Dyno Hydrocarbons PPM (HC PPM)
Dyno NOX PPM
Dyno Oxygen % (O2 %)

Any available GM Pids in EFI LIve are also available in our Dyno Software as well.

For some testing, I setup our Crewman on the dyno, connected the EFI Live V2, connected a 5 Gas Analyser to the car, and did a few IM240 Drive Cycles while I logged the data via the V2 interface, and came up with the below example of the Data:

We've got a few things to tidy up in regards to the data being transmitted during a Ramp Test, which will be sorted soon, so you'll be able to see you HP and Torque in your EFI Live logs from any dyno runs you do.

I'm not an EFI Live expert, so I'm not aware if you can smooth the data etc, I'll work on that...

Hi Todd,

Myself and Paul had spent a few days with Andrew Elder down here in Melbourne getting this going last year, in fact I had some logs that we were able to show at SEMA 2009. It does work very well.

Hi Ross,

All we have to do now is get it to work in Pass Thru and it'll be even better. Good job on your's and Pauls behalf.
