HELP Please

Im trying to full flash the truck right now and it gets to the point where it says ecm flash memory erased
retrying previuos block
erasing ECM memory
or something like that (wait uo to 2 minutes)

and It keeps saying taht over and over about every 4 minutes,

What do I do? Im afraid to disconnect and try again


This is on an LBZ duramax. I recently updated the firmware to fix a logging issue.

The bootloaders for the LBZ are included in the ECM (they are not EFILive bootloaders) so you should be safe to disconnect.

Have you previously flashed the vehicle successfully? Are there any aftermarket accessories on the vehicle that might need to be disconnected (XM Radio, navigation etc.)?

What software and firmware did you actually update to?

ive been able to flash the truck fine before. full and partial. Dont have anything aftermarket that should get in the way. Im retrying right now, it seems to be doing the same thing... I have a red cross for the status of the ecm

BB version 2.07.01, Firmware 2.07.02

The 2.07.02 firmware will be the problem; there were a number of issues with that version. Make sure you update your V7, V8 and firmware from the software in this thread (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?14774-November-22nd-2010-pre-release). This will get you to 2.07.03 firmware.

I dont see in the anywhere in the thread that you can download the 2.07.03With your V2 connected to your PC, start EFILive_Explorer (comes with V8 software install), goto the Firmware tab, and flash in FSProgV2_07_03.efw.

Gotta, I remembered after I posted that. Anyway that worked like a charm got it the tune loaded up fine and all is well. Boy was that scary stuff lol

Glad to hear the update fixed it. I was really hoping this wasn't a new issue :)
