View Full Version : Putting new pids on V2

This is a really basic question.

I am trying to get some new folders and pids onto v2.

Problem is when I select a new "Unused" folder (BB logging in Scan and tune), to populate it, all the available pids on the right disappear. So my selection is quite limited.

I did this before. Just cannot recreate it. Must be getting old!

Post a screenshot...

(you create a new folder using EFILive Explorer; you create/edit pidlists in Scan&Tune).

No controller files in drop down

The drop down list is populated from data in the file: \Program Files\EFILive\V8\EFILiveSystem.ini
If that file is missing or empty or faulty you will probably get the problem you are seeing.

Re-install the V8 software and that file should get installed/updated correctly.

Do you see PIDs when clicking on one of the options which has controllers configured? What you are showing against a record with no controller(s) specified is expected.

Yes.
With no controller specified see short list on the right of the first screen shot.

Yes.
With no controller specified see short list on the right of the first screen shot. No, those are like default pids.

See post #6 above.

This is what I see (the controller dropdown always has controllers).

That is definitely it. Nothing in drop down menu. I did reload V8. Still empty file. Should I do 7.5 too?

EFIlivesystem.ini is empty

Hello 68problemchild,

See post #6 in this thread … looks like you will need to reinstall V8 software to get the EFIliveSystem.ini file properly loaded on your computer. May explain some of the difficulties you’ve been experiencing with the software.

Happy Holidays,
Taz

Uninstall V8 and then re-install it.

Uninstalled and reinstalled. No luck. Can I copy this .ini file from some where? Seems to be empty/no data

Yes, copy it from somewhere, or see attached (remove the .txt from the filename).

Got it. Box was not checked in the tune tab.
