:help2:Does EFI Live have the capability to change the OS program between GEN IV 58x crank reluctor 4x cam sensor to GEN III 24x 2x?

I wish !!! The tuning software can’t change that part of the “base code”.
Lingenfelter make an interface that will allow you to run a Gen IV (58x CKP, 4x CMP) engine with a Gen III (24x CKP, 1x CMP) PCM.

Was digging in the 3800 code and it does have the ability in the code to be changed, wondering if the base code CAN be changed, but no one has found the switch setting yet... Found it in the 3800 code. Don't know if it actually WORKS though....

I wish Jesse, conversion/swaps would be SO MUCH EASIER if we could.
If only someone would make an interface box that would let you run a 24x engine on 58x electronics.

I think Jesse (Wait4me) did make an E67 run a 24x engine.

Edit: i.e. 58x -> 24x

LPE offers a module that allows the 0411 PCM to run a GenIV motor.
That doesn't work with NEW PCM and an old motor..........it's easy to lower the resolution, there is no way to raise it.

I wouldn't say no way to raise it.... Just very few seem to be interested in doing it. I have some stuff worked out, just stopped because of the lack of the need. Is there much reason to have the ability? Looking at the price of LPE's to go down, how many would be willing to pay for a module to do it is the question.

LPE is currently working on a soon to be released module to go from 24 to 58.

Is there actually a real case for this? Just wondering.... If you can use the LPE module to put a Gen IV engine in a Gen III car, would anyone really want to put a Gen III engine in a Gen IV car? Just asking!
Really!!! Thats interesting...

GM has a new stand alone e67 controller and harness coming out to run 4.8/5.3/6.0 engines. It is intended for people on a budget to grab any of these engines out of a wrecking yard and install them in any old car. But for a e67 to run the older ones they needed an adaptor, hince the call to LPE ;)

No but people might put a gen IV controller on a Gen III car.
