View Full Version : Trouble flashing in a tune

I'm having alot of trouble getting my truck to accept a tune.. i've never ran into this before and i've used the V2 since it came out years ago. What will happen is when I go to flash in a cal. it will get to the part that says "Erasing ECM flash memory... (please wait up to 2 minutes)" and it will wait all 2 minutes and then won't continue.. I can get it to work but I have to jack with it for sometimes up to an hour to get it to work. This includes checking and rechecking all my connections, closing and opening the tune software as well as restarting the computer.. i'll do all this stuff off and on and finally it will work like normal once, never back to back. I haven't had this truck that long and I haven't had these problems before so that got me wondering. I updated all the software, firmware etc.. not long ago so that should be good to go. Could this be something to do with the truck? It is a 2008 LMM duramax, no DSP yet.. I plan to setup the DSP5 but I want to get this issue resolved first. Also nothing extra is plugged in to any of the outlets and everything in the truck is in the "off" position. I included a copy of what the screen says with it won't flash..

Thanks guys.

I updated all the software, firmware etc.. not long ago so that should be good to go.

That could be the problem ?
You didn't have the problem before I don't think it's the truck.

This has been logged as a support incident at our helpdesk also. I recommended updating from the 2.07.02 firmware as that was the release that had "all those issues".
