Send the full VIN for the vehicle to me (support@efilive.com) and I can confirm if we support it or not, and if so what ECM selection you should be making.

We don't have any 3.1 litre vehicles listed on our supported vehicles page so I'm going to guess that it is not a supported platform. The VIN you emailed also lists OS numbers that are not recognised by the software. Is the Grand Am you're trying to flash a V6 (unsupported) or LS1 V8 (supported)?

Its a 3.4 v6

The only 3.4 litre V6 vehicles we support are the 07-09 Chevrolet Equinox and Pontiac Torrent, both are using the E38 ECM controller. I think it is just a case of your vehicle simply not being supported by EFILive.

well it looks like the duramax lly and ls198-whatever ecm.. is there anything we can use then to get the sercuity turned off?

A lot of the early PCMs "look" the same but they are different internally, such that each needs to be specifically supported. There is nothing you'll be able to do with EFILive as it is not a supported controller.

Try Tunercat, I think they support them.

I'm not trying to be a Jerk, I just noticed that there are several v6 threads. I realize that this
is a "dead" platform but there is still interest. I'm sure HPT has sold 100s of units and that many
more credits........and people would still rather use EFI Live.
