View Full Version : Actual Timing vs. Commanded not matching?

I'm helping out with a friends camaro trying to clean up his idle. We did a log the other day of mostly idling, but we did do a WOT run.

For the most part, the idle and in gear commanded timing matched close to what is in the commanded cells. When we started going WOT from about 2300-3000RPM the timing was in the 25-33* range. Then there is a dip to 15* then back to about 21* which matches the High Octane table. When the timing is in the 25-33* range, I can not find any commanded timing close to that (HO, LO, or Base Spark). I also checked the ECT and IAT modifer tables and there is 0 correction for these running conditions. Is there a table that I am missing that would be adding this timing?

Next time we do a log I will log the gm.aspark to confirm I am in the high octane table.

I have attached the log and the tune that was loaded in the car.
Thanks,
Matt

Log the EST_xxx_DMA pids, they might show where timing is coming/going from/to.
